Newcastle have held the Manchester City academy graduate as a top target but talkSPORT understands Chelsea appear to be ready to welcome his services.

And Blues fans already appear excited for his arrival having found old posts on his X account raving about his soon-to-be new club.

With the posts resurfacing, Chelsea fans expressed their excitement for the defender, with one on X saying: “He is Proper Chels.”
