And they have provided some incredible golf, with drama on and off the course throughout the action-packed weekend.

Europe have a strong lead after an impressive opening two days but America remain in the contest following a strong finish on Saturday.

This is the 44th edition of the Ryder Cup and a win for Europe this year would help their overall record in the event…

Who has won the most Ryder Cups?

Team USA have won the most Ryder Cups since its creation in 1927.

They have come out on top 27 times in the 43 events between to two.

Team Europe have won 14 with only three ties throughout the history of the tournament.

Europe only became a full-continent team in 1979 though and since then, they have won 11 of the 20 Ryder Cups they have featured in.

This is more than the USA’s eight wins since then, with six of those coming in their home events.

When it comes to individual players, Sergio Garcia has won the most matches at the Ryder Cup.

The Spaniard, who was left out of Team Europe by captain Luke Donald this year, has won 25 times at the event which is a record.

He took the top spot from golfing icon Nick Faldo in 2021 despite his team being beaten by a record-breaking number in the United States.

Garcia has also won the most overall points and the most foursome matches ever.

Legend Phil Mickelson has the most Ryder Cup appearances above Faldo and Lee Westwood while Mickelson has also played the most matches.
