NFL week 3 tips

Miami Dolphins to beat Denver Broncos

The Miami Dolphins sit 2-0 after wins against the Chargers and the Patriots. There is a feel good factor around the team and they now face the 0-2 Denver Broncos.

Miami have started the season with two wins on the road, and will look to continue the positive vibes in their opening contest at home.

Their offence ranks 2nd after their quick start to the season and have the ability to cause damage in multiple ways.

They have weapons in both the passing and the running game, and are finally seeing some good protection for Tua Tagovailoa, who has only been sacked once in the opening two games.

The Broncos have struggled with average passing attacks in the Raiders and Commanders, with both teams finding it easy to complete passes in the air.

The idea that they will be able to slow down the Miami juggernaut seems hard to imagine.

Baltimore Ravens to beat Indianapolis Colts

Another team off to a 2-0 start, Baltimore are looking to stretch their lead in the AFC North against a rebuilding Colts team.

The Ravens look ruthlessly efficient and quarterback Lamar Jackson looks at ease with his new offence. Jackson is an elite talent and the Ravens have given him multiple options to control games.

One of the best qualities that the Ravens have is their ruthless ability to run the ball. They were able to run on the Bengals for over 175 yards last week and could cause terror for the Colts defence.

The Colts are without their exciting prospect Anthony Richardson and instead turn to back up Gardner Minshew to quarterback the team. Minshew is a stable hand but is not a dual threat in the running game like Richardson.

Cleveland Browns to beat Tennessee Titans

Cleveland head into a home match up against the Titans off the back of a poor performance in Pittsburgh, losing key running back Nick Chubb in the process. This can traditionally spark a team into a response or bury them further, and I think the former will happen for a Browns team hopeful for a winning record.

The Browns can look at their defence for their likely route to winning this contest. Led by the miraculous Myles Garrett they have been impressive thus far, and can likely slow down a Titans offence which can be erratic.

The Titans did well to outlast the Chargers last week, however they are normally stronger at home than on the road. They may also be missing top running back Derrick Henry who has battled a toe injury this week. It might be close, but would pick the Browns to edge past the Browns, likely in a low scoring contest.

Los Angeles Chargers to beat Minnesota Vikings

This matchup could believably go either way, as both sides have got off to frustrating starts to the season. Both teams have started with two defeats each, and will be desperate to not fall to 0-3.

Both teams seem to have no issues moving the ball on offence but struggle keeping opposing sides out. The Chargers especially have to show something on defence, as they have been hideous in pass defence in the last two weeks and now face the intimidating Justin Jefferson, aiming for his third 150 yard performance in a row.

This matchup might go down to a shootout, and if it does I give a slight edge to Justin Herbert to secure a win, it feels like a bit more urgently required for the Los Angeles team.
