England reveal Cricket World Cup squad as Jason Roy dropped for Harry Brook with Ben Stokes on 15-man list

England have confirmed their official Cricket World Cup squad ahead of the tournament in October.

The competition, which is being held in India, kicks off with a repeat of the 2019 final between England and New Zealand.

The two nations will lock horns on October 5 as Jos Buttler’s side begin their title defence.

Ben Stokes confirmed in August that he was coming out of retirement to travel to the Cricket World Cup.

He scored a brilliant 182 in the One-Day Series against New Zealand, which was a record score by and England batter.

There is one change from the provisional squad that had previously been named.

Harry Brook comes in for Jason Roy, who was part of the 2019 winning side.
