The 2023 US Open has reached its climax with Coco Gauff set to take on Aryna Sabalenka in the Women’s Singles final.

Gauff overcame a long delay in her semi-final to beat Karolina Muchova and book her place in this weekend’s showpiece.

The 19-year-old is eyeing her first-ever Grand Slam title after becoming the youngest American since Serena Williams to reach the US Open final.

She faces a tough task to lift the trophy though, as she takes on World No.2 Sabalenka who saw off Madison Keys in the semi-finals.

The Belarusian will have to overcome the home crowd to win her second career Grand Slam as they cheer on their teenage superstar.

The US Open Women’s Singles final is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 9.

It will be played at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.

The action is set to get underway at 9pm UK time.

US Open Women’s Singles Final: Prize money 

The prize pool for the 2023 US Open singles is £35million. 

This is a huge increase on the prize fund for the 2022 tournament where players played for their share of £14.5million in total.

The winner of the Women’s Singles final will now receive £2.4million while the runner-up collects £1.2million. 

All winnings are to be distributed equally to men’s and women’s singles players.
